Chiropractor
Scott Wittmer D.C.
In 1975 I suffered a severe neck injury playing high school football. I had significant neck pain that radiated to my right arm. This was before the days of MRI, so my orthopedic surgeon felt it better that I not play the rest of the season. At the suggestion of my coach, I visited a local chiropractor with sports injury experience and was able to play again within 2 weeks.
I made some equipment changes and continued with my treatment the remainder of the season.
With the great results I experienced from chiropractic and my love of sports, I made a career decision to become a Chiropractic Physician!
Chiropractic Education
I attended eastern Illinois University for my Pre-Chiropractic education and then went on to Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis for my doctorate, graduating in 1979. Since graduation, I have had extensive post doctorate training in Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Rehabilitation, and Diagnostic Imaging including MRI and Digital Motion X-ray (DMX).
My practice philosophy is basic. Determine the cause of the patients complaint, correct it as much as possible, teach them how to prevent it and maintain a higher level of health and function!
